The ICYM Ammembal Unit organized a vibrant celebration of “Gadyanth Ek Dees,” fostering community spirit and engagement among parishioners. The program was inaugurated by Parish Priest Fr. Michael D'Silva, alongside Vice President Mr. Robert D'Souza and Secretary Mrs. Laveena Rodrigues.

The celebration commenced with a variety of lucky games designed for participants of all age groups, ensuring everyone had the chance to join in the fun. Following the initial games, the event featured ward-wise competitions, including tug of war and relay races, which encouraged teamwork and friendly rivalry. Special sports events were held for women, including throwball, while men participated in spirited volleyball matches. All activities took place on a muddy field, adding an element of excitement and challenge to the day.

The program was further enhanced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Lions Club President Devdas Bhandari, social worker Ashraf, and former president of MIEL Bangalore Santhosh Kumar Rai. They shared their cherished memories of past events in the fields, enriching the community atmosphere. Former president of Boliyar Panchayath, Jacintha D’Cunha, was also in attendance.

The day was marked by joy, laughter, and a strong sense of togetherness, as parishioners enjoyed the festivities and created lasting memories. The ICYM Ammembal Unit’s successful organization of “Gadyanth Ek Dees” truly showcased the unity and spirit of the community.
